It is so important to me to providing a safe nonjudgemental space.

Wayne Peterson Stephan, LMHC, CADAC-V
Pronouns: He/Him
Specialties: Addiction recovery, trauma-informed care, anxiety, and depression
Hello Friends! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and I’ve spent most of my career in community mental health. Over the years, I’ve had the honor & privilege of working with people from all walks of life including children, adults, and older adults each with their own unique stories and struggles. A lot of my work has been with individuals facing addiction, and I also have a passion for helping those dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
In therapy, I’m all about collaboration. I truly believe that we’re partners in this process, and your voice is key to guiding the work we do. To me, the most important thing is the connection we build. I have a strong background in addiction treatment and I’m committed to providing care that’s non-stigmatizing and trauma-informed.
On a more personal note, I’m a gay, married, cisgender man with two wonderful kids—a pre-teen daughter and a teenage son. I’m also a Christian, but with a progressive and open approach, and I welcome all belief systems. When I’m not working, you can usually find me playing video games or enjoying a good session of Dungeons and Dragons!
